With all the chaos going on in the world today and the outlook for 2012 not looking too positive, this year is sure to be packed with great uncertainty, economic turmoil, civil unrest, threats of war and terrorism, and perhaps natural catastrophes.  Top this off with the end of the Mayan Calendar on December 21, 2012, many people will be anxious this year in not knowing what tomorrow will bring.

That is exactly why we designed this December 21, 2012 Gospel tract. For some, this date will be nothing more than entertaining dinner conversation.  Others are making fun predictions as to what will happen on this day.  Yet others are taking this day and year very seriously, even making end-of-the-world preparations to survive, stocking up on supplies and building bomb shelters.  But just like Harold Camping’s failed rapture predictions and other end-of-the-world prophecy failures, this too will go along the way of hype and hoax.

The truth is, no one knows when the world is “going to end”. Jesus said in Matthew 24:36,

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

So we can trust Jesus for His word, not only regarding His Second Coming, but also that He has not appointed His children to wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10).

We who have this hope, then, have an incredible opportunity to take advantage of what Satan is attempting to deceive the masses.  Most people will be aware of 12/21/2012 this year, so this Gospel tract will provide for you an icebreaker to speak with anyone about their thoughts on 2012, then enable you to transition into a conversation on eternal matters.

You can purchase this tract through our facebook store.  Below are the front and back of the tract (click on image to view larger text):

Beloved, do not be afraid of December 21, 2012.  If you have doubts for where you will spend eternity, please take a moment to read our Eternal Life page.  We also invite you to contact us if you have concerns about your salvation or would like help finding a biblical church (you may also find out Resource page helpful).

There is indeed coming a day when the world will end as we know it.  It may be 2012, or it may be 100 years from now.  But one thing is certain – the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back one day, and I believe that day to be very soon.  The world continues to spiral into calamity and there are numerous signs giving evidence that Jesus is coming just as He said.

On that day, He will not show mercy on anyone who has rejected and disobeyed the Gospel and they will face the terrible wrath of God in hell for eternity.  This includes those who profess to be Christians but their lifestyle proves otherwise.  Specifically, the Bible refers to these false converts as those who take pleasure in unrighteousness (2 Thessalonians 2:10-12), who profess to know God but by their deeds they deny Him (Titus 1:16), who may profess Christ but they walk as enemies of the cross (Philippians 3:17-19), and who  love the world and the things of the world, but the love of God is not in them (1 John 2:15).

Dear friend, if this is remotely possibly you, then I implore you to watch the following short video.  Isn’t it worth your time to be absolutely sure of where you will spend eternity – whether in heaven with Christ or in the tormenting Lake of Fire? If you find yourself as one who has never been born again (John 3:3) due to the evidence in your life showing you are a false convert, then repent.  Cry out to God for mercy that He would grant you repentance grounded in godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10) that you would surrender your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and be saved from the bondage of your sin and the wrath of God to come.

Jesus is coming soon – make sure you are truly found in Him as a new creation in Christ!

  1. We also know the Bible speaks about a 7 year tribulation period and then Jesus rules and reigns on the earth for 1000 years so there is no way the world can end on December 21, 2012

    • Indeed, Kenneth, although Jesus may certainly come for His Bride in 2012. Thanks for commenting. 🙂

      • Your right Justin…He comes for almost 100,000 people everyday (estimate on how many die) if anything happens on the Mayan calendar date do you think it may be something like Revelation 8:10-11…

        10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

        11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

        But then again, nothing may happen…We will find out if the rapture doesn’t take place before then…Take care and God Bless!

        • Adam says:

          I believe that after the rapture of the saved in Christ, the judgments will come in order as John saw them. Therefore, the first is the coming of the Antichrist and the covenant of peace with Israel. the covenant with Israel is what starts the seven year tribulation. What you are referring to is the third trumpet judgement which comes after the seven seal judgments.
