Project Bele Chere

The Speak:Truth Project is hitting the road in July and we want YOU to join us!  July 29-31 marks the annual Bele Chere festival in beautiful Asheville, NC, which celebrates a wide variety of arts, music, food, beverages, events, and children’s activities.  Bele Chere is hosted by the City of Asheville and estimates 300,000 to 350,000 people attend the festival over the 3-day weekend.

We will be joining many other evangelists from around the the Southeast and hope you will consider coming with us to proclaim the Gospel via tract distribution, one-to-one witnessing, and/or open-air preaching.  No matter your witnessing experience, this is a great opportunity to fellowship and serve with other believers with a common passion to obey Christ and see the lost saved.  Both men and women are invited.

The following is the ministry schedule for the event:

  • Friday Noon – 10.
  • Saturday Noon – 10.
  • Sunday Noon – 6:00 PM.

You are welcome to join us for the whole weekend or make a day trip, whatever works best for you.  For those looking to stay overnight, there are different options for accommodations for the weekend.

There is a block of hotel rooms reserved in Asheville.  Please let me know ASAP if you would like to take advantage and reserve a room.  It should be around $45 per night for two people (two twin beds).

There may be an option to stay for free in Waynesville, NC, which is about 30 minutes west of Asheville.  If you are interested in this option, please let us know ASAP so we can reserve your spot.

A third option is camping.  Hot Springs, NC is 30-45 minutes north of Asheville and offers camping along the scenic French Broad River.  Camp sites range from $20-30 per night for up to 4 people, or $5 per additional person.  A closer option for camping will be French Broad River Camping about 12 minutes north of Asheville.  There are other options for camping, but these are the two I recommend.  If you are interested in camping, please let us know ASAP so we might plan to camp at the same location.

There will be a men’s fellowship hopefully Saturday or Sunday morning.  If you would like to be a part of that, please let us know.

You can purchase Gospel tracts at these two resources:

Living Waters

Custom Tract Source

Please RSVP to the event on facebook, or contact us for any questions or additional information.

We hope you can be a part of Project Bele Chere as we seek to make Christ known to the ends of the earth!
